This letter is to say many thanks to Carlos, the Complete Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd engineer that attended to my boiler problem yesterday. I have been without hot water and heating since October 2008, when the first call was logged with Home Serve, and after numerous visits from Home Serve engineers, the hot water and central heating was still not resolved. In fact, the last Home Serve engineer that attended to my boiler made the wrong diagnosis, which cost me a lot of money that was not necessary at all, as Home Serve instructed me to source a Corgi registered engineer at my own cost to action their "wrong" diagnosis / problem, as Home Serve was convinced that their diagnosis was the cause of the hot water problem, and this diagnosis was not covered by my Home Serve policy.
I am very happy to confirm that Carlos made the correct hot water problem diagnosis last night, and my Corgi registered engineer was able to resolve the hot water problem as per Carlos' diagnosis.

We had just bought a flat and less than a year later our suspect looking boiler system broke down. For good. Looking at the flat in the cold light of day we realised that we needed a new central heating system, and that would mean the kitchen would be ruined in the process. Oh and the bath and the toilet started to leak in the bathroom…..So a new central heating system, a new kitchen and a new bathroom….ouch.
We bit the bullet and asked various plumbers to quote for the work ….we ended up seeing over a dozen! From the start, however, Nick was a different class from the others making intelligent observations about the work that needed to be carried out. We assumed he would be very expensive, but his quote was actually very fair, very organised and very detailed.
It turned out to be a major job: Dismantling one central heating system, welding pipes, taking out boilers and water tanks and moving radiators to install a nice new system. The second part of the job was to rip out our bathroom and install a new one which involved replacing most of the walls and the entire under-floor structure as they were completely rotten. Once this had been finished we took delivery of a new kitchen suite, and once again Nick and his team were on site to rip out the old kitchen and install the new one, again the floor had to be strengthened because we wanted stone tiles - the old floor wasn’t strong enough or even level!
What struck us the most was that Nick was always very communicative and was never afraid to have difficult conversations about unexpected issues that this type of work invariably throws up. Any issues were dealt with sensitively and in a considered way - always with a solution in mind.
In short if you want intelligent, honest, and hardworking professionals who are organised and know what they are doing then give Nick a call at Complete Plumbing. I just hope he has time to fit your job in.

Not only did this involve moving boilers, water tanks and radiators (not to mention helping me decide where to put them once the walls came down!) but it also involved fitting some very expensive modern fittings and bathroom furniture. Nick and his team carried out the work to a very high standard indeed and were the most reliable and friendly plumbers I have met!
